Miami Late Night Blog

On my flight down to Miami this morning I planned to write today’s entry but got caught up in a video edit that took me all the way until landing so here I am at 12:38am in the morning writing to you.

I have 3 ideas from the day but no specific direction.

• A lot of people label pink-hair as crazy but it’s simply the current form of self expression. Odds are that pink hair won’t last for life. it reflects how they feel at that certain point of time — so accept the person for that instead of judging away. It’s hard — I judge too. But maybe a few notches down won’t hurt…

• (Talking to my 19 year old self here) The cold approach at the bar is much easier when you don’t think of it as a cold approach. Rather look at it as someone helping you in a challenge. Think about it — if you’re in the middle of Italy and you need to find a good place for dinner with your visiting parents. There are two attractive people sitting besides you. Of course it’s quite easy to start a conversation about this topic as you inherently trust them somewhat (given the attraction). It’s no different in a coffee shop or restaurant back in your home town, city, or state — you just have to alter your perspective and embrace the fact that you might get judged… by total strangers that you’ll most likely never see again. What’s the downside?
