Radical Tortilla Chips

Apparently Traditional Mexican Style

My Coworking Space is named Nomadworks. I was on a 1 month trial that ends on Friday, welp.

When they first showed me the space, they were adamant on advertising the DIY tea and free bagel Mondays. The real selling point of the space had nothing to do with these perks but rather the presence of a standing desk and desktop for me to use. Sitting like a crab working on my laptop for long video edits does not work for me — and thus, Nomadworks had a new (happy customer).

WIth anything in life, new commmitments come unexpected surprises. Sure the guy wearing the eye patch that’s always watching Adam Sandler Movies on weekends at the space is a surprise, but nothing deeper to blog about than that.

Unexpected Service

One service Nomadworks offers is mailing service, namely a return address service.

As someone in the Olive Oil industry, I take notice to what’s happening in the oils and fats space. One trend happening for the past few years is a movement away from Seed Oils like Canola Oil into more natural fats like Beef Tallow. Ask ChatGPT for a summary of the differnce, I’m on a time crunch here.

So one day I noticed an above avergage number of boxes of this chip company show up at the door of the coworking space. Maybe the hosts are fond of these tortilla chips? Maybe there’s an event?

Nope. None of the above.

Rather, the space was functioning as the return address for people returning their tortilla chips.

And what happens when a place has a lot of boxes of unopened chips sitting around?

A new snack for Jack.

And this snack is no ordinary bag of chips. It’s the original viral chips adamant about being fried in beef tallow. They’ve taken the Internet by storm, and now the coworking space as well.

The Brand:

I forgot to take a picture lol

It’s 11:37pm i’m going to sleep. Full review maybe another time.

Fun fact the founder’s wife is the @oliveoilqueen.

My thoughts: Chips taste good with a hint of animaly fat. It’s hard to explain the aftertaste. Original much better than lime. And tbh their Vandy Chips (Potato Chips) > Masa Chips in flavor.

Good night everyone.
