Road Trip: Day 1

Even though I labelled today as Day 1, I honestly committed no time to researching and visiting farms today or any of the previous days. The biggest hurdle this morning was getting my car packed and myself on the road. The mental hurdle was putting everything on the To-Do List aside and doing the important thing (find places to visit and film) but in the end I sit here and despite a day of no filming, there will be great days ahead.

Highlight of the day (aside with Grandparent time) was the annual visit to Big Kev’s BBQ in White Lake, NY. Place is great though these days I have a stronger desire for spiciness and may have to bring hot sauce next time around.

I do plan to start visits tomorrow but again it’s July 4th and it’s weird. The fact that I’m out of Long Island makes me want to breathe and relax. Definitely some internal debate going off in my head.

One side of me says — dude, take 3 days and just chill before hitting the road you worked your A** off this month. But then the other side of me is saying — push through discomfort and you’ll feel greater reward on the other side. Whatever you are waiting for won’t just come to you.

You have to go get it.

Good night.
